Built in 1882 and extensively renovated from the inside out in 2003, this is a home with a rich history to it. The yard has been professionally landscaped and lovingly cared for over the years and has a private hot tub and brick patio. The home is under new ownership and back on the market as of Fall 2018.
The home is set up with your main living on the first floor of the house. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with just about anything you might need and has a warm cozy feel to it. It has a large center island with 3 bar stools, lots of counter space and a breakfast nook comfortable for 5. Beyond the kitchen is the living room with a large flat screen tv (with Netflix) and plenty of space to spread out after a long day of recreating. There is a queen sized pullout sofa in the living room for additional sleeping.
Also on the main floor is the guest bedroom set up with 2 twin daybeds and a full bath complete with an historic claw foot tub with a modern shower. There is a huge mudroom to store all your gear with a full sized washer and dryer.
On the 2nd floor of the house you will find the master bedroom with 2 twins (we have the ability to create a king if you wish) and a separate in-law apartment with separate bedroom (3rd bedroom), kitchen and bath. We do not rent this separately but with the house as a whole. It is a wonderful place to have a little extra space for a family with an infant, the grandparents or anyone that might just like to have a bit of extra space. The bedroom in the apartment has a queen bed and the bathroom has a steam shower with double shower heads. In the living room of the apt is a full size pullout sofa.
The location of the property is amazing. In the winter, the bus stop to take you up for a day of powder skiing is literally just out the front door. Elk Ave with its restaurants and retail is 2 blocks away. The Nordic Center is 1 block away as is the town sledding hill and the skatepark (summer only). In the summer ride your bike straight off the property and you are within minutes of miles upon miles of single track.
The private hot tub is just a few steps from the mudroom door in an area of the property that has been landscaped to allow a nice bit of seclusion. There is a bike/ski shed that has plenty of room to store your gear, wax your skis or work on your bike. There are 2 off-street parking spaces to the rear of the house.
The home is pet friendly and we welcome 1 well behaved dog.
Our minimum age to rent is 25. Children are always welcome with their parent or guardian.
